Beacon of Underprivileged Education in Karnataka
Socio-economic hurdles and infrastructural inadequacies in India keep more children out of school than in them. Subhakar Rao Foundation is taking humble but firm steps to break this trend in Karnataka.
Since 2003, the Foundation has aided underprivileged students financially — individually and through state-sponsored schools — in Bengaluru and its suburbs. It has also been instrumental in building computer labs in many underfunded institutions.

Amongst the Foundation’s key activities, one is to organize the non-profit movement of private investments in the state’s education machinery. The Board approves education schemes targeted to improve public school facilities on merit by different non-profit organizations, and funds them.
The Foundation gives special attention to meritorious students with poor background and takes full responsibility of their education expenses, as well as seeing to its optimum utilization.
